He looked at her not sure what just happened.

Richard: What the hell!!! Want to explain the attitude to me? You tell me you are pregnant, I ask if you are sure it is mine, and you get pissed. I do believe that since we have been apart for awhile now it is a fair question.

Richard called his brother.

Richard: Randy, get your ass to my office.

He went after Harmony.

Richard: Come back in here. There's something you need to hear.

He reached his hand out to her.

Richard: Come inside. Please.

Richard looked at Harmony.

Richard: You and I haven't been together since that big argument two months ago. I went to Randy's house and talked to him then left town for awhile. I just got back yesterday.

Richard grabbed his brother's shirt then punched him.

Richard: You are one evil bastard. You better get out of here fast and go far away. If I ever see you again, I'll kill you.

He watched his brother run off then picked up the phone. He got her voice mail.

Richard: Please call me, Harmony. We need to talk about this. I'll be here at the office for awhile. I love you.

By the time that Richard left the office, he still hadn't heard from her. He was very worried.

He left the office and went to her place. He pulled into her driveway and got out. He knocked on the door. When he didn't get an answer he decided to try the key he had on his keys hoping it still worked.

He went inside and looked around. Things looked the same as they did before.

Richard: Harmony?

He found her on the sofa and smiled softly. He knew she was home safe.

He lifted her in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. He laid her on the bed and carefully undressed her.  He found one of his old t-shirts and put it on her. He tucked her in and leaned down kissing her softly.

Richard: Sleep well, darling.

He nodded and sat down beside her.

Richard: Yes, love. It's me. I wanted to make sure you had made it home alright.

He smiled softly at her.

Richard: I'm sorry things got so messed up. If I had known what was going on here, I would have come home much sooner.

He thought about it brother and it started to piss him off again. He took a few deep breaths to calm down.

Richard: He won't do that again.

He looked at her thinking.

Richard: Did you ever get any of my messages on your voice mail?

Richard: He must have been deleting them.

He looked around seeing none of the gifts he had sent to her there.

Richard: He really wanted to make sure you thought he was me.

He took her hand in his.

Richard: I will not let it happen again. I promise.

He wrapped his arms around her holding her close.

Richard: Have you seen the doctor yet?

He frowned a bit.

Richard: I'll call David. Maybe he'll be able to narrow it down a bit more.

He called and talked to his brother. It wasn't much later when David showed up. He gave an exam then used a portable machine to check on the baby.

David: Nine weeks and two days.

Richard looked at Harmony and smiled knowing that made the baby his and not Randy's.

He watched as his brother packed everything back up and leave. He smiled at Harmony.

Richard: We're having a baby.

He leaned down and kissed her softly.

Richard: I love you, Harmony.

He smiled softly.

Richard: Been there, done that. I'm ready to settle down with the woman I love and our child.

He kissed her again.

Richard: I love you.

He kissed her again.

Richard: The two of us okay now?

He laid down beside her and wrapped his arms around her.

Richard: Next time I have to leave town, I'm taking you with me. I'm not going through all of this again.

He kissed her softly.

Richard: Stop thinking about it. That is now in the past. It won't happen again.

He held her close to him.

Richard: Is my stuff still here? This is still my home isn't it?
