Aria stood there as she felt bad but was going over the report a bit as she then started to speak.

||Aria Vega||-The visual ID, and the other items that were at the scene do confirm, but we are waiting on DNA to fully confirm.  I'm sorry.

She said as all signs were pointing to it, but she didn't want to say for sure until everything came back.  She looked at him as she waited to see what he would say.

He looked up at the officer feeling the tears in his eyes.

"Can I see her things?"

Aria nodded as she thought about it a moment.  She had him come back with her to one of the empty rooms.  Having him take a seat.

||Aria Vega||- Just give me a few moments to get it.  

She said as she walked back out and headed to get the items.  It wasn't a criminal investigation so she knew he was allowed to look at it.  She came back with a bag , carefully placing the items on the table for him to look at. Seeing her id,  rings and a necklace, along with some clothing that were clean and had no blood on them.  She didn't want to upset him any more than he already was. 

He picked up the necklace and wrapped his hand around it as he closed his eyes. It had been given to her by him on their last birthday.

"She was the better half of me. My twin sister."

He felt empty now without her. Their parents had died a few years before and she had been the last of their family that he had. Now she was gone too.

She watched him and listened to him talk as she did feel bad for him.  It was always tough to lose a loved one.  She thought a moment before she started to speak.

||Aria Vega||- I'm very sorry for your loss.  We can help set up grief counseling if you feel it is something you need.

She offered wanting to help out as much as possible..

He shook his head.

"Thanks. We had someone that we both had been seeing after our parents died. I'll call him."

He looked at her.

"When will I be able to take her things and claim her to be buried?"

She looked at him as she was thinking about it.  

||Aria Vega||- You should be able to claim everything tomorrow.  Just waiting on a few things to come in, and then we can close it, and let you have your sister and items.

She said as she was thinking about it.

||Aria Vega||- I will call you as soon as I'm told it is alright. 

She handed him her card.

||Aria Vega||- If there is anything I can do, or if you have any questions feel free to reach out.

She said feeling bad for him.

He nodded and sat the necklace back down with the rest of Patience's items.

"Thank you."

Aria let him take his time, as she knew this was tough for him.  After awhile, when he felt ready he put everything back down on the table.  She left it for a moment, not wanting to make it difficult on him, or at least any more than what it already has been.  She then walked him back out and walked him to his car. 

||Aria Vega||- I know it's easier said than done, but try to get some rest.  

She said looking at him.

||Aria Vega||- And again, if there is anything I can do, don't hesitate to call.

She said touching his arm a bit, trying to give a little comfort, knowing how hard this was for him.  She saw him nod as he then left... She stood there a moment as she watched him drive off.  She then went back inside, picking up his sisters items and putting them away, so he would be able to collect them tomorrow.

He drove back home and sat in the driveway just looking at the house. His sister's car was in the garage. She had been with her boyfriend when the accident happened. He still didn't know what had happened that night. Only that there had been an accident and his sister was now gone.

He put the car in reverse and pulled out of the driveway. He wasn't yet ready to go back into the house knowing that she wasn't there. He wasn't ready for the emptiness he would find there.

He drove back to the hotel he had spent the last two nights at.

Aria finished her shift and then changed and clocked on... She got in her car as she was driving her way home.  As she was heading home she got the call on the dna, and everything was fully concerned.  She looked at the time seeing it was still early.   She drove back to the police station as she called Izaiah... 

||Aria Vega||- Hello Mr. Powell. I just wanted to let you know, your sisters belongings have been released.  I will bring them to you.  I just need to know where you are staying and if you are wanting me to bring them to you now.

She offered as she didn't mind bringing them to him if he was wanting them now.

He gave her the name of the hotel and the room number. He didn't want to do this in public where everybody could see.

"Thank  you."

She listened to where he was at, as she took the drive to the hotel.  It didn't take all the long to get there... She parked and then headed on inside, heading up to the room he told her.  She knocked softly and then waited.  Once he opened the door and invited her in.  She walked in as she was holding the bag with his sisters items inside.

||Aria Vega||- Everything is set... I contacted the funeral home for you, they are going to pick up your sister and when you feel ready just give them a call and they will do as you like.

She said letting him know she had taken care of things for him as far as she was able to..

He nodded as he looked at the bag.

"Thank you. I just don't know what to do now. She was the one that kept me out of trouble and kept me focused. What am I going to do without her?"

She looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it... 

||Aria Vega||- Live... You are not going to let everything she did for you go to waste... It will be hard at first, but you will find you way... Just give yourself time.

She said as she was thinking about it...

He nodded as he thought about it.

"I think I want to start something to help other people. She liked kids. Maybe something to help kids."

She smiled when he said that as she was thinking about it... That did sound really nice.

||Aria Vega||- That sounds great... I'm sure that would make her happy.

The two chatted for a bit, before she felt like he would probably want to be alone... Knowing he had a lot on his plate right now.. 

||Aria Vega||- Goodnight, Mr. Powell.

She said as she started to leave....

He looked at her a bit confused.

"You are leaving?"

Aria looked at him when he asked... As she figured he would want to be alone a bit...  She wasn't wanting to bother him or anything.

||Aria Vega||- I just figured you'd probably want to try to rest, and I don't want to be a bother to you or anything.

She said as she was trying to be nice and do what he was wanting that may help him...

He shook his head.

"I haven't been able to sleep since the accident. I try but then I see her face and it keeps me awake."

She felt bad as she looked at him thinking.  Knowing that wasn't healthy for him, but also understanding.  She thought a moment as she was thinking about it.

||Aria Vega||- Would you like me to stay a bit longer?

She offered, not sure what would help..

He nodded and sighed.

"If you don't mind. I really don't want to be alone."

She nodded a bit as she didn't mind.  She was already off the clock so didn't mind staying and keeping him company for a bit.

||Aria Vega||- I don't mind... If I start to bother you, just tell me to get.

She laughed softly seeing him smile a bit.  She walked back in sitting down as they were chatting again.

||Aria Vega||- I'm new to the force.

She answered when he asked about how long she had been a cop.  As he thought she looked rather young, but seemed to know what she was doing.

He leaned back and listened to her.

"I had thought about going to the academy, but ended up going to college for something else instead. One more semester and my licensing exams, then I'll be the newest vet in the area."

She smiled as she listened to him talk as she was thinking about it.  Thinking it was great that he was going to be a vet... Knowing there wasn't many in the area.

||Aria Vega||- That is so cool.  It'll be nice to have another vet in the area.  There really isn't many, and it's hard to get an appointment.

She said as she knew that mainly because she owned a dog and just to get in for a wellness check had been tough.

He gave her a little smile. It was his first in days.

"I already have a place that I was hoping to buy to set up a clinic."

She could see how happy he looked as he talked about his plans and what he was wanting to do.  It made her smile as she was listening to him talk.

||Aria Vega||- That is great. 

she said as she was thinking about it, as it was nice that he had already planned out so much, looking forward to his new career once he finished school.

"I was going to take care of the animals and Patience was going to run the desk."

He frowned as he thought of his sister again.

"It was just a dream. The two of us working together."

She looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it... Feeling like it shouldn't be something he gave up on, even if it wouldn't be the same as planned.

||Aria Vega||- Sometimes things do not go as planned, but don't give up on your dream... It's just having to change a bit.

She said looking at him as she was thinking about it, not wanting him to think it wasn't something that could happen..

He looked over at her.
"I'm still going to open the clinic. I just won't have Patience there like we dreamed of. It will be strange having someone else at the desk."

She was glad that he was still going to open his business as she heard what he said, as she was thinking about it.

||Aria Vega||- Who knows could be a good chance to make a new friend.  

She said as she was thinking about what it would mean to have someone else working the front desk for him.

He shrugged. 

"Maybe. I'm not really much of a people person though. People kind of scare me."

She was surprised when he said that, as he seemed so comfortable talking with her, even asked her to stay.  She thought a moment before she started to speak.

||Aria Vega||- Really?  You seem totally comfortable talking to me, and we just meant.

She pointed out as he seemed fully at ease, and not bothered by her company at all.  He smiled a bit as she shrugged some.. As she smiled warmly back at him.  They talked for awhile longer, but after it was well passed midnight she finally got up.

||Aria Vega||- I probably should get heading home... It's pretty late... 

She said as he started to walk her to the door. 

||Aria Vega||- I'm glad I meant you... I'm just sorry for how we meant.

She said honestly as she looked at him.  She saw the look on his face as she leaned in hugging him, feeling like he was needing a hug... As she was happy to be a friend to him tonight knowing what he had gone through..

He returned her hug a bit awkwardly. Once she pulled back he gave her a small smile.

"Thank you for staying and talking with me. I really appreciate it."

She nodded as she smiled warmly thinking about it.  She once again told him that if he needed anything he knew how to get in touch with her.  She saw him nod as she then after a moment took her leave.   Heading out to her car and then heading home for the night.  Once she was hope she walked in seeing that her dog Sadie was happy to see her... 

||Aria Vega||- Hey, beautiful.

She smiled as she went letting her out the back, knowing that she probably had to go out... While she was out side, she went taking care of the house a bit, cleaning up changing and making herself something light to eat, then letting Sadie in...

After Aria had left, Izaiah got in the shower. Once finished he looked at the bag still setting on the table. He carried it to the bed and opened it. He took out the necklace and the rings and sat the bag aside. The rings had been their mother's wedding rings. His sister had worn them after their death. He wore their father's ring. He removed the chain from around his neck and added the two rings to the third and put the chain back on. 

He looked at the locket that he still held in his hand. He opened it and looked at the two pictures of them. One was of the day they were born. The other was of their last birthday. He left it open and sat it on the nightstand beside the bed. 

He sat the bag with Patience's clothing on the floor beside the bed before he laid down to try to get some sleep.

It had been a few weeks and thins have been pretty quiet.  Aria had the day off as she was out for a bit of walk.  Just enjoying the nice summer day...  It had been awhile since she had been able to get out as it had been raining and storming most of the time.  Though it looked like it could start raining at any moment, she still wanted to try to get in a small walk at least...

Izaiah was out walking with the puppy and saw the familiar face. He called out to Aria and walked over to her.

"Hi."

Aria heard him calling as she turned to look.  She smiled warmly when she saw him as she heard him say hello.

||Aria Vega||- Hello.

She greeted back...

He felt the leash wrapping around his legs as the pup tried to hide behind him. He leaned down and picked her up.

"This is Karma. A gift from my sister for our birthday. I just picked her up from the foster home this morning."

Aria smiled warmly looking at the pup, scratching it behind the ear lightly.  She then looked down at Sadie who was sitting like a good girl.

||Aria Vega||- This is Sadie.

She said introducing her collie to him..

He knelt down and carefully put Karma infront of Sadie so the two could smell each other. He smiled when Karma stretched a paw out and booped Sadie's nose.

"I think they just became friends."

She smiled warmly as she watched them.  Knowing that Sadie would behave... She heard what he said as she nodded her head, seeing Sadie wag her tail looking at the puppy.

||Aria Vega||- It looks that way..

He smiled as he looked up at her.

"We where heading to the pet store. Would you like to come with us?"

She nodded after thinking about it, as it did sound like a good idea... 

||Aria Vega||- Sure, I could pick up a few things for Miss Sadie.

She said smiling as she started to walk with him.

He decided to carry the pup so she wouldn't slow them down.

"I moved back to the house. Hopefully Karma will help it not feel so empty."

She was glad that he was able to go back to his home... and glad he was trying to adjust to the changes.  She knew it would be difficult but felt like he was doing it right.

||Aria Vega||- I'm sure she will, she seems so full of life and love.

He scratched the pup's ears a little as they walked.

"I am seeing my therapist twice a week for now. He told me that I need to try to not let people scare me so much and make some friends. He said that will help with the loneliness."

She walked with him as she listened to him talk, nodding her head a bit as she was thinking about what he was saying.

||Aria Vega||- I think he is right.  Hopefully it will also help you feel better as well.

She said thinking it will help with the sadness he was feeling as well if he was able to be around friends.

He looked over at her.

"You are the closest to a friend I have. For some reason I feel comfortable talking to you."

She smiled when he said that as that made her feel good as she was thinking about it.  Glad he felt comfortable around her.

||Aria Vega||- You're the first friend I've made her outside of work.  

She said, seeing as she just moved to the area, she hadn't really had the chance to meet any others.

He smiled over at her.

"So we're friends then?"

She nodded as she didn't even need to think about it. 

||Aria Vega||- Yep, we are.

She smiled as she looked over at him...

He smiled when she said that.

"Oh. I put an offer in on the building I want to use for the clinic this morning."

She smiled when he said that as she was happy for him, happy that he was pushing to make his goals a reality.  

||Aria Vega||- That is really great.  I hope you get it.

She said as she hoped he would be able to get the building he wanted and start the practice when he was wanting to...

He nodded as he was thinking about it. It was something he was really wanting.

"I already have a name for the clinic. Balls and Claws."

She laughed softly when he said the name of the place as she smiled looking at him as she was thinking about it.

||Aria Vega||- That is clever, and I'm sure will be easy to remember.

She smiled thinking about it...

He smiled as he nodded. 

"I've decided that once a month I will do a low cost spay and neuter clinic for those who cannot afford full price. It will be income based. It will be done in Patience's name since she loved animals."

The walked into the pet store as they were still talking about his plans.  As she smiled liking what he had to say, thinking it sounded nice.  After a few moments he asked her to hold onto the pup as he picked up a few things... She followed... Once he was done , and all set they walked out as he was carrying a few bags...

He smiled as he watched the little pup try to keep up with the larger dog.

"I think they are best of friends for life now."

She watched them as it could see the pup really liked Sadie and was trying to keep up with her.  It made her laugh softly.

||Aria Vega||- They're cute together..

He watched them and smiled.

"We'll have to set up some play dates with them."

She thought about it when he said that as she nodded her head. 

||Aria Vega||- That sounds like fun.

She smiled warmly as she was thinking about it...

He watched the two dogs.

"I think it will be good for her to have an older dog to show her what to do."

She nodded a bit as she thought it would be useful for the young pup.

||Aria Vega||- I think you are right... Sadie will teach him all the good and bad habits.

She said laughing softly as she was thinking about it....

He smiled when she said that.

"As long as she can teach my girl to be a dog..."

She nodded knowing that she was very well trained and wasn't a wild dog at all... She knew she didn't even need a leash for her, but just did it for show so people in the area wouldn't worry or complain.

||Aria Vega||- She for sure would teach her good habits...

He smiled and watched the dogs.

"Is there a dog park somewhere nearby?"

She shook her head as she hadn't found one yet, and had been looking around.

||Aria Vega||- Not local that I have been able to find.  I looked when I first got here.

She said letting him know...

He thought of the land next to the building he was planning to buy. It was included in the purchase.

"We'll have to fix that then."

She smiled as she was thinking about it, feeling it would be a good idea.  They walked a bit more as she was looking at him.

||Aria Vega||- I guess it's time to head home.  It was really great seeing you today and hanging with you.

She smiled thinking about it...

He nodded and picked up Karma.

"If you aren't busy tomorrow, would you like to have lunch or something?"

She thought about tomorrow, as she knew she had to work, so lunch wouldn't be an option for them tomorrow.  The thought a moment before she started to speak.

||Aria Vega||- I work til five tomorrow.  How about dinner after I get out of work?

She suggested as she was thinking about it...

He nodded and smiled.

"Do you mind if I cook?"

She shook her head as she didn't mind him cooking.

||Aria Vega||- I don't mind.

She smiled warmly looking at him as she was thinking about it.  They talked a bit longer working out some details and then both went their separate ways.  When Aria got home she let Sadie off the leash as she went running around the house a bit, while Aria cleaned up a bit, and got settled in for the rest of the night...

He smiled as he walked through his front door. He put Karma down and watched her explore the house. He got her things set up for her before he sat down to play with her.

"What do you think of our new friends, little girl?"

He smiled as she wagged her tail and gave little puppy barks.
